The campus gay and lesbian organization has undergone a name-change.
Don't call them the Gay and Lesbian Alliance anymore. From now on, they're the Gay Lesbian and Straight Society. Or GLASS, for short.
According to GLASS vice president Jesus Baez, the new name is result of the group trying to be more inclusive.
"We are trying to bridge the gap and possibly help to be more inviting to straight people and other of all walks of life," he said.
But aside from the name change, the group has yet to plan any specific events to "target straight people," a GLASS official said.
GLASS is planning events to help the GLBT and GLBT-friendly community on campus network, including a ski vacation, movie nights and conferneces.
