Virgin + Vixen: 'I'm a gay man who loves a woman'
Virgin + Vixen
Issue date: 1/23/07 Section: Life & Leisure
Dear Virgin and Vixen,
I am a gay male, always have been. It is an aspect of who I am that I have never questioned. But, I am starting to question whether or not I could be bi-sexual. I have nothing against women, I have lots of female friends, but I've never been attracted to them. There is a girl though that I really like, and I'm actually extremely sexually attracted to her. Should I explore this? I am uneasy about approaching her because I have never had sex with a girl, I've never even kissed a girl. Besides tossing me a road map and a flash light, what do you think I should do about this girl.
- To boi or not to boi, 22
Virgin - I'll toss you a bible and some rosary beads, and pray that you don't go to hell. Have a good semester
Vixen - Well, for starters, good for you! Best of both worlds is what I always say. Don't put too much thought into it. There is only a 15% genetic difference between males and females. Emotionally we are totally different animals, so I wouldn't suggest treating her the same way you would a male you were interested in. Just be yourself, be honest about everything, and build trust. Always remember, if your not having fun or if you feel that you are tripping over formalities and labels, then maybe this isn't the girl for you. Take it slow, feel out the situation, and be safe.

I am a 28 year old woman that works with a 42 year old gay man, and we always flirt and it has always been only that... non threatening etc. until our friendship deepened and I feel myself getting feelings for him that are deep, and this is killing me because he has a partner. (Continued…)

Can we for once actually have "virgin" sound like something other than a puritan nut.
It'd be far more interesting if she or he or it sounded like a normal person with strong religious beliefs instead of a zealot praying for all us sinners(normal college students) souls. (Continued…)
