With the score tied, he went up to the line with eight seconds on the clock. The game on the line, but R-N junior point guard Quran Wimberely nailed both foul shots, giving the men's basketball team a 95-93 lead, which would turn out to be the final score. For this and the spice he brings to the floor, he is named Player of the Week.

What was going through your mind when you stepped up to the free throw line against Kean?

"Gotta make these free throws" because I haven't been playing that good, because my ankle was hurting real bad…"Gotta make these free throws, can't let my team down..."I just concentrated. Glad I knocked them down.

What do you think about the fans that turn out for games?

The fans are good. They're great! Each game, the crowd is getting better and better. Lots of different people.

Who taught you how to play basketball?

My stepdad taught me (he just passed recently in December) in about the sixth or seventh grade. He taught me how to shoot, dribble, and shoot with my left-hand. I pretty much stuck with it from then. I worked out everyday.

Where did you learn to pass like you do?

I like to bring some excitement to the game, by try to do different things to make the crowd crazier. I try to have fun out there. I try to work on the behind-the- back passes in the summertime when I'm working out.

Who are your idols?

In basketball, Michael Jordan. I try to imitate some of his moves…not all of them though (and my step dad). Personally - my mom.

What's something people don't know about you?

I've been on my own for a long time? My mom passed away when I was in the 8th grade before my graduation.

Is it hard being a student athlete?

No, it's not hard. It's not hard at all. You just got to stay on top of your work. It's tiring most of the time. I usually keep up in study hall about three times a week.

What are your goals after college?
