Audrey Perozzi is on the verge of being impeached as NCAS-SGA president, according to several sources, for violating items in the Student Governing Association's constitution.

Members claim she rescheduled meetings to suit her schedule, yet has removed four senators because of the attendance policy. When a date was re-set, it was publicly advertised and members missed the meeting.

Parthiv Dalal said she publicly bashed leadership at a symposium, and has been unable to identify where missing SGA money is, SGA member Lev Zilbermints commented.

In Article VII "The Director of the Budget," Section 3 reads "The Director of Budget and President shal have signatory power over the accounts of the Association."

Some insiders have said that Perozzi has a long way to go in regards to her leaderships skills, but have lost faith in their leader who is wearing too many hats in the organization.

Issa Abbassi, former Finance Director for NCAS-SGA and R-N alum, said that Perozzi (as a first term president and having one year of experience) and the rest of the executive board, came together to help her achieve all the goals they set.

"It was more of team effort," Abbasi said. "Everyone seems to want to go their own way these days and be king of castle. It's going back to how it was two years ago."

Abbasi said they had their ups and downs, but in the end they got it all done.

"I would hope that no matter what it doesn't affect her, doesn't get her down because she's a bright student, and the SGA can move forward. I hope it's not done for personal gain. Afterall, the 'S' stands for students."

Many members feel that the SGA has become divided, as Abbasi feels, and that the bi-partisanship is bad for business.

Veer Patel, current UC-SGA president, hopes the issue will be resolved in a timely way and that normalcy will be restored.

"I have the utmost faith in the NCAS student government," Patel said, noting that he's been hearing and seeing the transpiring events from the sidelines. "The Senate is completly capable of handling the situation with the utmost integrity and I expect nothing less."

Members of the SGA submitted a letter last Wednesday to the embatled president, calling for her resignation.

Copies of the letter were also given to the Student Life & Leadership. Perozzi refused to resign, and refused to comment on it as well.

After this, members went ahead with the impeachment process.

If the impeachment goes through, it will be the first time in school history such a judicial measure was taken.
