It's getting hairy: harrassment

A 19-year-old Rutgers student from Newark received a harassing text message from a known acquaintance between 1-1:45 a.m. on Nov. 1.
The person who sent the text was someone from outside the university and threatened to assault her.
A 19-year-old student from Montclair had her wallet stolen from her dorm room in University Square on Nov. 2.
The wallet and its contents are valued at $422.
Someone attempted to steal a silver 2005 Honda Civic coupe from in front of the Robeson Campus Center on MLK Blvd. between 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 and and 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 5.
The car belonged to a 20 year-old student from Lyndhurst. She noticed someone tried to steal her car when she saw that the steering column had been broken.
A 33-year-old Newark resident named Miguel Cartagena was arrested for trespassing in the law school on Nov. 7.
He had neglected to sign in at the front desk and was walking around the lobby when Rutgers Police Officers Weston and Sanchez arrested him. Lt. Bradley Morgan of RUPD described Cartagena's behavior as "spacey."
According to RUPD reports, Cartagena had no apparent reason to be in the law school and was uncooperative with officers. He was arrested and given a court date.
A 23-year-old student from Hackensack received harassing e-mails on her Pegasus account between 8 a.m. on Nov. 6 and 3:49 p.m. on Nov. 7.
The student knows the person sending the e-mails but is not very well acquainted with them. She has asked the person to stop sending her e-mails in the past but the request has gone unheeded.
